We’re Rimeks Bags & Brands Inc., a proud Canadian brand, founded by Nigerian sisters Rita Umoren and Elsie Ifon, in January 2022. Active business operations commenced in July 2023, when Rita wholeheartedly embraced Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada as her new home, bringing onboard her deep-rooted love for both community and creativity.

We currently have a visible store front strategically located at the Mayflower Mall, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are also present at the Port of Sydney projecting and selling our products, as well as our community to global tourists during the cruise ships season.

Newcomer Entrepreneur of the Year (2024): CEO Rita Umoren won this award, from the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, in recognition of her being “ an outstanding entrepreneur who was born outside of Canada, … started a successful business in the CBRM…has overcome adversity, exhibits leadership both in community and business, and has a strong track record of business growth”.
